In the top menu, tap Temp (the second option from the left) to access the temperature controls on your fridge.

Overview

This page contains:

  1. Estimated product temperature
  2. Temperature range pre-sets
  3. Temperature alert toggle switch
  4. Allowable range controls
  5. Delay before alerting toggle switch
  6. Estimated product temperature graph

1. Estimated Product Temperature

Estimated product temperature indicates the average temperature of the product stored in the fridge.

  • If a mechanical or electrical issue is affecting estimated product temperature you should receive an alert on your device giving you advice.
  • If the temperature is incorrect for the product type and you have not received an alert:
    1. Check that the fridge is set to the correct temperature range (see pre-sets below)
    2. Check the date/time that estimated product temperature data was last updated (shown directly below the temperature)
    3. Make sure you are within Bluetooth® range of the fridge (approx. 10 metres)
    4. Wait a few moments for the estimated product temperature data to update
  • If the estimated product temperature remains incorrect, check that a door on the fridge is not ajar before contacting support.

2. Temperature Range Pre-sets

Tap a pre-set to quickly change the estimated product temperature within your fridge to a range appropriate for what you want to display or store.

To manually change temperature range:

    1. Select Manual 2.0 to 5.0°C
    2. Move the sliding scale to your ideal temperature

If you slide the scale above 2.5°C you will receive a food safety warning as the top end of the range will be outside the food-safe temperature zone.

3. Temperature Alert

Toggle the Temperature Alert switch to receive notifications if the estimated product temperature exceeds the limits you have set.

4. Allowable Range

This is the temperature range outside of which SKOPE-connect will send you alerts.

Allowable Range is initially set on your choice of Temperature Range Pre-set.

However, you can tailor this to your situation to reduce any unnecessary alerts caused by frequent door opening/closing.

To change Allowable Range:

  1. Tap the temperature range
  2. Use the slider to adjust range between -1°C and 20°C.

5. Delay Before Alerting

Set the time difference between when the product begins to be outside the desired temperature range and when you want to receive an alert.

Tap the displayed time difference and choose from the following options:

  • 0.5 hr
  • 1 hr
  • 2 hrs
  • 3 hrs
  • 4 hrs

To make sure you are not alerted by brief temperature changes caused by normal usage (i.e. door openings), we recommend setting the delay to two hours.

6. Estimated Product Temperature Graph

This graph shows up to 20 days of temperature history.
